The Podcast Community at proteanTecs

A Glue project

When proteanTecs, a global deep-tech company, came to me with the challenge of connecting people across a global, distributed company, I knew I wanted to bring a solution that would create a deep connection, both personal and professional.

The company invests in its people constantly: we had already built an ambassador community, launched a leisure community, and worked on several other great initiatives. So this time I knew I wanted to help them build something truly different.

I proposed an internal podcast community made up of the employees themselves, one that brings out the stories from inside and acts as a bridge between people in different places around the world.

Alona Golshtein, Global Employee Experience Manager & HRBP at the company, whom I work with every step of the way, was as excited as I was, and we got started with a format I built especially for them:

  • I brought in the brilliant Tomer Mulvidzon to lead the training and give the team the tools
  • Together with the participants, we ran a guided workshop where we chose a shared format for the podcast
  • I recruited a content editor and a sound engineer, created technical documents, built a personal feedback process, and more, to give the creators real backing
  • And of course, we built a supportive community of interviewers who led all the actual work

That's how we created a community that is also a product, a personal journey, and a way to connect people who would never have met otherwise.

I'm incredibly excited about the journey, the partners, and the result. There are already 5 episodes live, with more on the way! My heart is bursting with pride, and the feedback we've received inside the company and from customers has been excellent.
